In its thirteen year history, Leicester based adventure attractions company Innovative Leisure has supplied its products to many different sectors. Whether it’s the county’s biggest leisure parks or independent operators, Innovative Leisure has given the customer just what they’re looking for.
With a diverse catalogue of products that has grown year on year, Innovative Leisure prides itself on supplying attractions that can fit into almost any sector, with the onus always on healthy activity the whole family can enjoy.
Over the years we have worked in the holiday parks sector with such clients as Center Parcs, Potters Holidays and Butlins as well as locations across Europe. Our early work with holiday resorts included installing many of our static climbing walls, installations we still regularly carry out today.
As our product range grew, our presence in the sector became more prominent and we began to supply a bigger range of products to holiday parks. These included the Water Wars balloon battle game and the Sky Trail High Ropes Course, supplied to Cypriot holiday resort Santa Marina Retreat in 2011. The five pole, double level ‘Navigator’ course has added another great family experience to the resort which already offers pony trekking and archery.
Today, adventure attractions are a staple of holiday resorts as families seek experiences they can all take part in regardless of age. Adventure attractions help to form family bonds and provide memorable experiences. Innovative Leisure only supplies products which will fall into the adventure attractions category and can fit into any sector that wants to achieve these aims.
This year has seen growth in the holiday parks sector for Innovative Leisure with the installation of a stationary climbing tower at the new Cheddar Woods holiday development in Somerset. The site has chosen a climbing tower to offer an adventure play attraction to the resorts already impressive sports facility. A mobile climbing wall was also supplied to Shorefield Country Park in Hampshire as part of their In2Action activity offering. Here it featured alongside zorbing, archery, fencing and sea scooters as part of an adventure programme for the whole family.

Water Wars has been a great success
“Water Wars has been a great success and is now sold out most weekends. It definitely increases our income throughout the year. If the demand on bookings continues we will have to consider expanding.”
Loretta Ferrito, Manager, Sandown Ski Centre.
The Water Wars is proving very popular.
“Water Wars opened in Devon's Crealy on April 1st and we have installed filling stations in the queue line so that guests can fill their own balloons as part of the experience while they're waiting to play. We are very pleased with the service from Innovative Leisure, including the training provided.”
Angela Wright, MBE, Managing Director, Crealy Great Adventure Parks.
“We chose Water Wars because the activity is a fun one and we could see that it would bring in additional cash on a sunny day. Having fun with water and the competition between two shooters is as much fun for the crowd watching as it is fun for the ones doing it.”
Unni Lyngved, Park Manager, TusenFryd.
“We installed Water Wars early this year and are really pleased with the results. Guest feedback is fantastic and the whole family can be seen enjoying this attraction. It really complements our other water attractions and adds a different dimension to the park. It has been performing very well financially too. I would recommend Water Wars for any family theme park or attraction. ”
Simon Townsend, General Manager, Crealy Cornwall.
Adding something totally different to our park
“We liked the concept of adding something totally different to our park that can still be enjoyed by almost any age group. Innovative leisure were great to deal with and comfortably made all the deadlines set at the start of the contract, as well as organising the design review and ADIPS certification which were completed just a few days after the inspection on site.”
Alfred Codona, Managing Director, Codona's Amusement Park.
fantastic feedback on the new attraction
“Our guests have given us fantastic feedback on the new attraction, which has confirmed to us that it was the right decision to choose something that provides a physical activity as opposed to a more passive experience. Families are having fun together and that was our goal in buying the high ropes course. We have also seen an additional benefit following the installation of the course, with sales in the adjacent food and beverage outlet rising significantly since it opened.”
Kaare Dyvekær, Owner, Sommerland Sjaelland.
Sky Trail High Ropes
“The Sky Trail course has been a great addition to our new site. Early feedback has been superb with many people saying they’ll come back for another go. Working with Innovative Leisure was a pleasure. Their calm efficiency really enabled us to carry out the project as smoothly as possible.”
Andrew Moody, Owner, Adventure Kidz.
“The wall has gone down a storm this year at the maze and I am so pleased I bought it. The help before we picked up the climbing wall, the full day's training and post sales follow up convinced us that we picked the right company to buy our tower from.”
Jonathan Hewitt, Director of Fun and Chaos, Red House Farm.
“It is an immensely difficult task, but not impossible - just like climbing the real thing. I hope our wonderful children will never forget the time they stayed at school and climbed through the night under floodlights to conquer Mount Everest.”
Kevin Skelton, Headteacher, Ravensworth Avenue School.
“The wall is doing very well. The service we’ve received from Innovative Leisure has been second to none. I look forward to a long term relationship with Phil and Innovative Leisure.”
Marc Miller, Director, Adventure Island.
